MAY - “rooted in resilience”
a yoga + mindfulness LA fire relief pop-up
The REFUGE pop up series includes a yin-restorative yoga flow + mindfulness activity in order to create space + stillness in the mind and body. By incorporating a blend of movement + mindfulness, we re-nourish our fundamental need for calm, rest, and relaxation.
This time, we're coming together (reclaiming abundance, Terasaki Budokan, and Little Tokyo Yoga) to support those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.
While the event is free and open to all, we gently encourage donations to support wildfire relief efforts. Every dollar will make a direct impact in helping those in need, and 100% of donations will go to Altadena wildfire recovery efforts through the Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC).

Reid Yoshimura is a 4th generation Japanese American who has practiced Yoga and Mindfulness for the past 20 years. He earned his 200 hour certification from Joan Hyman at the School of Yoga. His teaching style is a well rounded, heart centered, and meditative flow, suitable for all ages and levels. He believes when the body is aligned and the mind is calm, you're more in tune with your true self and can move through life with greater clarity, peace, and purpose. Forever a student at heart, Reid feels blessed to give back and teach yoga to the Little Tokyo community at the Terasaki Budokan. When he's not on the mat, Reid loves to be outdoors with his son Yogi, a 4-year old miniature schnauzer.
